When a salesperson is in the field, they need their software to support them by providing all relevant details quickly. Having a collection of information about each record readily available within the app is a great way to achieve this. Tooltips are set up to appear only when you look for them, making it easy to access just the needed information.<\/p>\n

A sales manager or Dynamics CRM user with administrator rights can configure the entity details in MappyField 365 to be displayed in the Entity Records (pushpin) details. Once Dynamics CRM records are plotted on the map, your team members will see the record details as configured in \u2018Entity Mappings\u2019.<\/p>\n

MappyField 365 users can quickly access record highlights by hovering the mouse over the plotted record (pushpin). Clicking on the record reveals more detailed information in a detailed slider.<\/p>\n

Tooltips provide quick information about a record when hovering the mouse cursor over a pushpin, while detailed attributes appear in a slider when clicking on a specific record.<\/p>\n

Follow the steps below to configure tooltips and detailed attributes:<\/p>\n

1. Navigate to Entity Mappings.<\/p>\n

2. Configure the tooltip and detailed attributes.<\/p>\n

3. Plot the entity records on the map.<\/p>\n

4. Display the tooltip (popup) by moving the cursor over a pushpin.<\/p>\n

5. View detailed record information by clicking on the pushpin.<\/p>\n

Step-1:<\/b> Navigate to \u201cEntity Mappings\u201d<\/p>\n

Go to Entity Mappings<\/b> to configure and set up the entity to be displayed on the map. Here, the \u2018Account\u2019 entity is selected.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings111\"<\/center>By clicking on the entity, you will navigate to the entity detail page. From the header, you will find different action buttons.<\/p>\n

Clicking on the Edit<\/b> button will open a new tab that contains the entity map configuration for the selected entity.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings222\"<\/center>Step-2:<\/b> Entity To Map From here, you can configure the ‘Tooltip Attributes’ and ‘Detail Attributes’ for the slider.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings333\"<\/center>Step-2[A]:<\/b> Click on the \u2018Tooltip attributes\u2019 tab to set up tooltip data Navigate to the \u2018Tooltip Attributes\u2019 tab. You can select up to 10 attributes to display in the tooltip when the mouse cursor moves over a record (or any specific pushpin). You can also customize the \u2018Display Name\u2019 of the selected attributes that will appear in the tooltip.<\/p>\n

Select the attributes<\/b> and edit their Display Names<\/b> as needed.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings444\"<\/center>Click the “Add” button to add<\/b> the attribute to the list. To remove it, click the remove (x)<\/b> icon in the Action column.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings555\"<\/center>Once you configure the \u2018Tooltip Attributes,\u2019 click on the Update<\/b> button for the Entity to Map.<\/p>\n

Step-2[B]:<\/b> Click on the \u2018Attributes\u2019 tab to set up for slider details<\/p>\n

Navigate to the ‘Attributes’ tab. Here, you can select up to 10 detail attributes to display when clicking on a record (any specific pushpin).<\/p>\n

Select the detail attributes from the dropdown list.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings666\"<\/center>Category attributes are those that appear in the dropdown for ‘category’ selection. You can select as many attributes as you want for category selection.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings777\"<\/center>Once you configure the \u2018Detail Attributes\u2019, click on the Update button for the Entity to Map. Similarly, you can configure the \u2018Tooltip Attribute\u2019 and \u2018Detail Attribute\u2019 for another entity.<\/p>\n

Step-3:<\/b> Plot the Entity Records Navigate to the Map section. From the \u2018Plot\u2019 tab, select the \u2018Entity\u2019 and its \u2018View\u2019 to plot the records on the map.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings888\"<\/center>By clicking the Search button, the entity records will be plotted on the map.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings999\"<\/center>All the pushpins are records of the entity.<\/p>\n

Step-4:<\/b> Visualize Tooltip and Detail attributes on the map<\/p>\n

Visualize the Tooltip and Details attributes on the map.<\/p>\n

Step-4[A]:<\/b> Tooltip Attributes<\/p>\n

Once the entity records are plotted on the map, you can view a ‘tooltip’ by hovering over any pushpin. The information displayed in the tooltip is based on the configuration set in ‘Entity Mapping \u2192 Tooltip Attributes.’<\/p>\n

\"Mappings101010\"<\/center>By moving the mouse cursor over the pushpin, you will see a highlight of the records displayed as a tooltip.<\/p>\n

Step-4[B]:<\/b> Detail Attributes<\/p>\n

By clicking on any pushpin, a detailed slider will appear from the right side, providing details related to that record based on the \u2018Entity Mapping \u2192 Attributes\u2019 configuration.<\/p>\n

\"Mappings111111\"<\/center>With administrator rights in Dynamics CRM, as a Sales Manager, you can configure the tooltip and detail attributes for any entity from Entity Mappings.<\/p>\n

Based on this configuration, you and your team will receive information in the tooltip and the detailed slider for the selected record, allowing you to perform various actions accordingly.<\/p>\n
