Microsoft Dynamics 365 provides the geographic view of the CRM records that can be displayed on the Dynamics 365 maps. You can improve sales potential and revenues by creating territories for the sales activities and market segments in Dynamics CRM\/365.<\/p>\n<p>Using the Dynamics 365\/CRM default maps, you can track the CRM records on the map, but only for the individual entities. You need to configure many backend options of the Dynamics CRM to get the entities and activities on the Dynamics CRM map.<\/p>\n<p><b>AppJetty MappyField 365<\/b> is a Dynamics CRM Map integration plugin that helps to plot your CRM data on the map. Using MappyField 365, CRM users can get detailed information about their market geography and prospect locations.<\/p>\n<p>MappyField 365 provides the \u201cTerritory Management\u201d to create and manage the territories from the map itself. Using Territory Management, you can easily manage the sales\/marketing activities by defining the areas\/regions from the Territory map. You can also insert the territory records in the map area by <a href=\"https:\/\/flatirons.com\/products\/fuse\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">importing a CSV file<\/a> with the specific format. You can easily assign the territories to the relevant team members (Sales Reps) right from the map.<\/p>\n<p>In this blog, we will explain how to plot the territories using the CSV file with a specific format.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Navigate_to_MappyField_365\"><\/span>Step 1: Navigate to MappyField 365<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Select \u201cMappyField 365\u201d from the Dynamics 365 dashboard or app list.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Dynamics-365-apps-dashboard.png\" alt=\"Dynamics-365\" \/><\/center>By default, you will be navigated to the \u201cMap view\u201d of the MappyField 365.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/1.MapVIewpng.png\" alt=\"1.MapVIewpng\" \/><\/center>You will find the <b>Territory Management<\/b> from the MappyField 365 navigation panel (left side) to create and manage the territories.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_Navigate_to_Territory_Management\"><\/span>Step 2: Navigate to Territory Management<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>By clicking on the \u201cTerritory Management\u201d, you will be navigated to the Territory Management map. From here, you can manage your sales areas as territories and assign the required Team Members (Salesperson).<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/03.Territory.png\" alt=\"03.Territory\" \/><\/center>By clicking on the \u201cTerritory Management\u201d, you will find the <b>Search Options<\/b>. You can create and manage the Territories using By Region, By Drawing, By Territory (existing), and By File.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/4-File.png\" alt=\"04.ByFile\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Manage_Territory_By_CSV_File\"><\/span>Step 3: Manage Territory By CSV File<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have any shapefile to manage the territories, you need to select the \u201cBy File\u201d option in Search Options.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/5-SampleCSV.png\" alt=\"05.SampleFile1\" \/><\/center>You need to upload a CSV file in a specific format. You need to download by clicking on the <b>Sample CSV file<\/b> text caption to know the CSV format. You need to enter the data as per the format. You will find the 3 columns: 1. State 2. City 3. Postal Code.<\/p>\n<p><b>Sample CSV file:<\/b> You can enter the data manually or if you have another CSV file of the area\/region, you need to set the data as per the CSV file format.<\/p>\n<div class=\"img-content-section table-img-section\">\n<div class=\"left-section table-img-section-left\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/05.SampleFile2.png\" alt=\"05.SampleFile2\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"right-section table-img-section-right\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/06.CSV.png\" alt=\"06.CSV\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>After entering data CSV File:<\/b> After uploading the CSV file, you will see 3 options as \u201cState\u201d, \u201cCity\u201d, and \u201cPostal Code\u201d. You need to select the option whichever you want to plot on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/7-CSV-Plot.png\" alt=\"07.Plot\" \/><\/center>If you want to create the sales territories on the map as per the states, you need to select the \u201cState\u201d and then click on the <b>Plot<\/b> button.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_31_Select_State\"><\/span>Step 3.1: Select State<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Once you select the \u201cState\u201d, click on the <b>Plot<\/b> button to add the geographical data on the map. You need to select the imported states from the data grid.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/08.ShowData.png\" alt=\"08.ShowData\" \/><\/center>Click on the \u201cShow Data\u201d, a slider will appear from the bottom. You will see all the states in the data grid view as per the CSV file.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/09.Sele_.png\" alt=\"09.Sele\" \/><\/center>Now, select the state(s) which you want to plot on the map to create the territory and click on the <b>Plot<\/b> button to add the geographical view of the CSV file.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it will plot all the selected states on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/10.Plotted.png\" alt=\"10.Plotted\" \/><\/center>You need to enable the selection tool and select the states.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/11.CreateTerritory.png\" alt=\"11.CreateTerritory\" \/><\/center>After selecting the states, you need to right-click on the selected areas (states) and you will get <b>Create New Territory<\/b> option.<\/p>\n<p>By clicking on the \u201cCreate New Territory\u201d, you will get the <b>+ Create New Territory<\/b> popup from where you can create and manage the territory.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/12.SaveTerritory.png\" alt=\"12.SaveTerritory\" \/><\/center>You can either merge the territories by selecting the \u201cAdd to existing territory\u201d option or create an entirely new territory by selecting the \u201cCreate New Territory\u201d option.<\/p>\n<p>You need to insert the territory\u2019s name and assign the CRM users (Manager) to the territory.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_32_Select_City\"><\/span>Step 3.2: Select City<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Similarly, after uploading the CSV file, you can select the \u201cCity\u201d as a region and plot the territory on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/13.City_.png\" alt=\"13.City\" \/><\/center>Once you select the \u201cCity\u201d, click on the <b>Plot<\/b> to add the geographical data on the map. You need to select the imported cities from the data grid.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/14.Cities.png\" alt=\"14.Cities\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_33_Select_Postal_Code\"><\/span>Step 3.3: Select Postal Code<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Similarly, after uploading the CSV file, you can select the \u201cPostal Code\u201d for a region and plot the territory on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/15.PostalCode.png\" alt=\"15.PostalCode\" \/><\/center>Once you select the \u201cPostal Code\u201d, click on the Plot to add the geographical data on the map. You need to select the imported postal codes from the data grid.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/16.PostalCodes.png\" alt=\"16.PostalCodes\" \/><\/center>In this way, you can import the CSV file on the territory map and manage the territories as per the sales activities and fieldwork of the sales reps within MappyFIeld 365 map.
