Moreover, to understand your current customer base as well as your opportunities and leads, it is imperative to have an overview of all your accounts, contacts, and leads.<\/p>\n<p>So, in this blog, we are going to show all the Dynamics CRM users out there how to plot Entity Records on a map right from the CRM.<\/p>\n<p>The Dynamics CRM itself provides this functionality of adding an Entity record on a map.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1_Enabling_Bing_Maps\"><\/span>Step 1: Enabling Bing Maps<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To enable Bing maps, go to the Settings \u2192 Administration \u2192 System Settings. By default, the General tab will open. Scroll down to the \u201cEnable Bing Maps\u201d option and select the \u201cYes\u201d option to enable the Bing Map.<\/p>\n<p>Press OK to save the changes.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Enabling-Bing-Maps.png\" alt=\"Enabling Bing Maps\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 2: Plotting entity records on the map<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_2_Plotting_records\"><\/span>Step 2: Plotting records<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After enabling Bing maps, go to any entity record and edit it. Find the \u2018Form\u2019 or \u2018Form edit\u2019 option.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Form-Edit.png\" alt=\"Form Edit\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>By clicking on it, the PowerApps tab will open. Select the Bing maps from the \u2018Insert\u2019 tab.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Insert-tab.png\" alt=\"Insert tab\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>After clicking on Bing Maps, a pop-up will appear where you need to insert and select the required details.<\/p>\n<p>Save the changes and click on publish.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you\u2019ll be able to see the plotted account on the map inside of that account as shown in the below image.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Account-on-the-map-inside.png\" alt=\"Account on the map inside\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>With Dynamics default functionality, you cannot view multiple records on a map at the same time. You only get to see one record on the map.<\/p>\n<p>To see all your active accounts or all accounts or any other entity records on the map, you can opt for any Dynamics CRM Map integration from MS AppSource.<\/p>\n<p>One such microsoft dynamics crm mapping Integration is \u2018MappyField 365\u2019 using which you can display all the Dynamics CRM records on the map with the required details.<\/p>\n<p>Other tasks that you can perform using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/dynamics365-mappyfield-365.htm\">MappyField 365<\/a> are:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; You can plot and see the records of the selected entity geographically.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; By selecting the multiple entities, you can save your own view (template) also.<\/p>\n<p>To plot records of any entity like accounts, contacts, leads, etc., follow the below steps:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Import_the_package_of_MappyField_365_and_install_it\"><\/span>Step 3: Import the package of MappyField 365 and install it.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Package-of-MappyField-365.png\" alt=\"Package of MappyField 365\"><\/center><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_Navigate_to_%E2%80%9CMappyField%E2%80%9D_from_the_apps_menu\"><\/span>Step 4: Navigate to \u201cMappyField\u201d from the apps menu.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After logging into Dynamics 365, click on \u201cMappyField 365\u201d from the Dynamics 365 apps dashboard.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/After-logging.png\" alt=\"After logging\"><\/center><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_5_Click_on_Entity_Mappings\"><\/span>Step 5: Click on Entity Mappings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Navigate to the Entity Mapping to configure the entity details that will display on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Navigate-to-the-Entity-Mapping.png\" alt=\"Navigate to the Entity Mapping\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Click on the \u201cNew\u201d button to add and configure a new entity.<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Now, select an entity from the \u201cEntity Name\u201d dropdown and configure address fields for the selected entity.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Dropdown-and-configure-address.png\" alt=\"Dropdown and configure address\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Check the checkbox \u201cAutomatically Geocode New Records\u201d to automatically get geocodes when any new records for configured entities get created.<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Click on the Save button to save entity configurations.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_6_Get_Geocodes_for_entity_records\"><\/span>Step 6: Get Geocodes for entity records<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u2192 To get geocode for records redirected to a particular entity. If you want to get geocode only for selected records, select those records and click on the \u201cGet Geocode\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 If you want to get geocode for all the records, click on the \u201cGet Geocode\u201d button. It will ask you for confirmation to get a geocode for all the records for the selected entity.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Records-for-the-selected-entity.png\" alt=\"Records for the selected entity\"><\/center><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_7_Plot_records_on_MappyField_365_map\"><\/span>Step 7: Plot records on MappyField 365 map<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u2192 Navigate to MappyField 365 \u2192 Maps to plot the records of the configured entity.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Maps-to-plot-the-records.png\" alt=\"Maps to plot the records\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 By clicking on Map, the Map view will be loaded as per the default location configurations set by the admin.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Default-location-configurations.png\" alt=\"Default location configurations\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Under the Plot Records, select the Entity from the \u201cSelect Entity\u201d drop-down to plot the records on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Drop-down-to-plot-the-records.png\" alt=\"Drop-down to plot the records\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Based on the selection of an Entity and other related options, the entity records will be displayed on the map. If \u201cAccounts\u201d is selected, select its attribute which you want to plot on the map in the view options besides entity. Select \u201cView\u201d  for Accounts like all accounts, my active accounts, inactive accounts, etc.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Entity-and-other-related-options.png\" alt=\"Entity and other related options\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 The account details can be seen by clicking on a Pin  icon.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Pin-icon.png\" alt=\"Pin icon\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Check the record details by moving the mouse on the pushpin icon.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/pushpin-icon.png\" alt=\"pushpin icon\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 Plotting the records for multiple entities is also possible in MappyField 365. Click on the \u2018+Add Legend\u2019 text to add multiple entities. Select the entity and its record view options besides the entity.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Multiple-entities.png\" alt=\"Multiple entities\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 By clicking on the Search button, the selected entity with the record view will be plotted on the map.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Clicking-on-the-Search-button.png\" alt=\"Clicking on the Search button\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>In this way, you can add and configure the entities to plot the CRM records on the map using Dynamics Map Integration, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.appjetty.com\/dynamics365-mappyfield-365.htm\">MappyField365<\/a>.
